Hello, Macmillan Dictionary says "They were fighting to uphold the rights of small nations." Is uphold often used in collocation with "claim/theory/complaint/etc"? I am getting the impression that we uphold something we have said or written and that involves providing someone else with more facts or details.
What do you think? Thank you
