to turn the page

Hello,
Can we use "to turn a page" in this sentence:
- This argument is completely pointless. Let's just turn the page, shall we?

I think it makes sense, but it might sound unnatural, I don't know...
Thank you. Emotion: smile

I know it's usually used in different contexts, especially when someone starts a new chapter of his/her life, but I've seen it used in other contexts as well.
