To, Toward, or Towards?

Which one of these would you use in these situations:

They learn to recognize society’s apathy (to) humanity through their capitalistic exploits and prejudice.

society’s malevolence (towards) them makes their dream futile

he feels cynical (toward) their idealism

He realizes the futility of their dream through society’s malevolence {towards} him

Just to add: -wards is used more in BrE and -ward in AmE.
