to the top of one's bent

Hi,

Has anyone seen the phrase "to the top of one's bent" used? I was wondering how and how commonly it is used.

Thank you.

I have never heard of it.

It seems to be used in Shakespeare (Hamlet specifically), and many (most?) Google hits seem to be related to this. Real modern uses seem sparse.
