Because oxidative stress happens on the molecular level, we aren’t aware of the internal trouble. Our immune system, however, is, and it pulls the trigger on an inflammatory response to the threat of persistent low- grade oxidative stress.

--- I take it to mean that the immune system reacts to the inflammation however the result of it may be persistent oxidative stress in the body. Is that right?
