To That Extent

Hi,

I’m asking the usage of ‘to that extent’.

Suppose my friend says: The English test was very difficult.

I disagree. I think the test is not so difficult. Is it understandable to say the following sentence?

The difficulty of the test is not to that extent.

Thanks in advance.

However, It is acceptable if you move the words around a little:

''The English test was very difficult.''

''I disagree. The test was not difficult to that extent.''
