Is this correct? Is A and B correct?
AI didn't think he would struggle to that degree.
BI didn't think he would struggle to the degree to which he has struggled.

Hi I would say "I didn't know that he would struggle to such an extent" . This implies the listener knows up to level he struggled and hence you need not extend it and also while you do so it sounds odd.
