To teeter

I've found the definition of the verb "teeter" here http://www.thefreedictionary.com/teeter
It says To walk or move unsteadily or unsurely; totter.
And then I've come up with one question; What kind of movement does "Unsteadily" denote?
For examplem, does the verba include a drunken man's movement?

A drunk moves unsteadily. He staggers, he puts his feet wrong, he seems about to lose his balance and fall over. "Teeter" is a good verb for that.

Teetering is being in a place where a fall is very likely to happen.
This man is going to be teetering across the river on a slippery wooden plank.
