To submit, to place

Hello,

I would like to know if the use of these verbs is correct:

I would finish the sentences this way:

2. I placed the order at the Fair authories but they didn´t confirm it

thank you.

I am surprised about the preposition "with" that you used in the sentence number 2 .

Why in the first example you used "to " and in the second example you used "with" ? If I had to choose, "to " would sound more natural to me.

Thanks

It's idiomatic.

You submit something to someone

You place an order with someone.

Don't you just love prepositions?
