'to strike sb uncurious'

Belief in the supernatural strikes him as incurious, which is perhaps the worst insult he can imagine.

In the above sentence, is it the belief in the supernatural which makes him incurious? And what is the insult? Believing in the supernatural or being incurious? I'm as confused as never.

According to an English dicitionary, the word incurious is an adjective and means not eager to know something. Who does not want to know and what? I'm as confused as never.

A very odd construction. It means that the person who believes in the supernatural is not curious about the world around him; that he is satisfied with the explanations provided by religion or other non-scientific sources. Note that this quote is from an article about the (in)famous atheist Richard Dawkins.

It's a strange sentence. Where is it from?

You need "confused as ever", not "confused as never".

He finds that people who believe in the supernatural are not interested in finding out more about the world around them. He can't imagine a worse insult than to accuse someone of this kind
