Hello, Here's a sentence "I respect people who have a moral code which they stick by." Can we use "adhere to," or "stick to" instead of "stick by"? I don't think we can use "stick to", but it might be just me. Actually, if we can stick to rules, why can't we stick to principles, moral codes, etc?
