Vocabulary

to shoot a look between

Hi,

"Terry shot a look between Mary and Jack."

What did Terry look?

1. the space between Mary and Jack
2. Mary and then Jack, and then Mary, and then Jack, and then Mary...
3. both Mary and Jack at the same time

2 seems likely to me, but I can't be sure because it says "a" look.

Thanks,
Rino
