To settle an account

Dear experts,

the question is simple enough for you, but very important to me — to be on the safe side. I have recently received a credit note from one of the world's largest payment systems with the following text:

"This credit note will be settled to your account ACCOUNT NAME for an amount of *** within 30 days".

If I have this account, does it mean that the payment organization will pay the money to it or, alternatively, shall I pay to the organization. I tend to believe the former option is correct.

Please help!

Regards,
Noel

I would agree with you that the former option is correct. A "credit note" is the usual term for a refund or an award.
