To send a letter

Hi,

What other phrasal verbs with 'send' can be used to express the same idea?

If you could comment on "to send a letter" vs "to send in a letter" vs "to send off a letter" (assuming all the tree are correct English)?

Hi,
Let me respond to your post in another way.

In my experience, I seldom hear eg I sent a letter to Tom.
What I commonly hear is eg I wrote to Tom.
