to rush/hurry to do something/to be rash/quick to do something

Hello,
Are the sentences below acceptable in everyday speech:
- You didn't know anything, but you rushed/hurried to blame me!
- You didn't know anything, but you were quick/rash to blame me!

For some reason the first one sounds a little odd to me. I associate rush and hurry with physical actions.

No, that's not a rule. I just had a look at a few example sentences and physical actions were used. If there's something better, I am listening, Philip.
