To run a bath

Consider the following sentence:

"Sami and their mother led Nikki into the bathroom where Shally run a hot bath."

Does 'to run a hot bath' mean 'to prepare a hot bath (by filling the bathtub)"?

Yes, it does, but I suspect that you did not quote that sentence properly. I found the quote in the link below, and it has "... where Shally ran a hot bath".
