Hi, in which way can I make this sentence sound better?
Is it ok that the verb is at the end of the sentence?

Within the 2001-2003 period, Latin America, whose universities support the studies of the resistance of nuclear materials, became a new research participant.

Would it be then correct to say:

Mister Micawber, I will provide more context. Scientific institutes usually have member states that participate in joint experiments. So I mean to say that Latin America became a new member of an institute (and stressing that the universities in Latin American support these studies). I don't mean to say that the universities themselves became the member states, rather a country, Latin America. I a
