Vocabulary

to restrain yourself from laughing

Hello,
Is it true that the sentence: "Restrain yourself from laughing while watching his presentation" sounds odd? I have been told that "restrain" doesn't collocate well with "yourself". It does with all the other reflexive pronouns, but not with yourself.

Thank you
