To Quantify Vocabulary

Hi,

I have 2 questions.

(1) I want to say the more vocabulary one has got, the higher proficient he would be.

What is the suitable word for the blank space in the following sentence?

"The level of proficiency in English varies with the….....of vocabulary."

I propose 1.level 2.size 3.amount

Sorted in descending order of my preference.

(2) Is it correct to add the word “acquired” in front of or after “vocabulary” in the sentence above? If so, should it go in front of or after “vocabulary”?

Thank you in advance for your help.
