to put into perspective

Is this natural and correct especially the use of perspective, as if and 'scores work'? Would you have said it differently?
I beat my opponent 6-0. To put that into perspective for those who don't know how tennis scores work/read scores, it's as if I had beat my opponent by 30 points in basketball.

Thanks
