To push someone doing something

Dear teachers,

please tell me if the following sentence is correct:

"It is not my intention to push you too much to take a decision but the fair is getting closer"

How would you express this? Is it correct as written by me?

Thank you

Pamela

It sounds fine to me although in AmE we more often say "make a decision" that "take a decision."

Thank you very much! Yes, I had already read about this difference.

Best regards
Pamela
