To pursue a Master's programme?

Hello all

please help me. I've got an interview in English this week and I'm unsure about some collocations. When I talk about my future plans...which verbs go with "Master's programme" or "PhD"? For example, I would like to say that I'm planning to follow/pursue/do a Master's programme soon, but which verb is the correct one in a formal style? And would you rather say "Master's degree" or programme? And what about Phd? "To DO my PhD after my Master's" or "to follow a PhD track"?

I appreciate your help and I'm grateful for any informed answers. Thank you very much! Alex
