'to provide' When to use it and how?

Hello. My question is more about syntax actually. Im am trying to figure out what is the most common and correct form of the following sentence:

'Please provide me with you registration number' or 'Please provide your registration number to me'. Which one of these two is better? Which one of them is most commonly used? When can you use one of them and not the other? Which of them is more formal?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
