Grammar

to provide sb with sth

Googlebooks finds many examples where they use " provide me the information ( I seek/need to know ) ".
However, I thought the correct use of the expression should be " provide me WITH the information (I seek/need to know) "

Are both expressions acceptable now?

Thanks

Hi, Yes. Although I favour 'with', and I think it is a lot more common. Clive
