Vocabulary

to play out favorably for/in someone's favor

Hello,
Is it acceptable to say: "I hope everything will play out in his favor" or "I hope everything will play out favorably for him? Neither would surprise me, and I would be able to understand the speaker. What do you think? I am not sure if "play out" works well in this construction.

I wouldn't use that. I would say, I hope everything works out for him. or I hope everything goes according to plan for him.

Does "I hope everything plays out well for him" sound good, teechr? I think it's an ok-ish sentence. Emotion: smile
