How does this sentence sound??

1) It's an exciting experience that travel abroad by yourself.

I think 1) sounds strange.

I think 1) should be

2) It's an exciting experience to travel abroad by yourself.

3) It's exciting to travel abroad by yourself.

or maybe

4) It's an exciting experience traveling abroad by yourself.

I'm not confident with 4) though...

Can you tell me any other ways to say this sentence having the same meaning.
