To or other prepositions

Hello,

Are the verbs to lead and to send always followed by to only?

Eg.,
The captives were led in/into/to a huge/large hall.
We were sent in/into/to the laboratory two days ago.

Thanks

My sentences, were given without any context at all so I will use either of them.

The captives were led in/into/to a huge/large hall.
We were sent in/into/to the laboratory two days ago.

1. Only into or to are possible here. Either large or huge is okay. "The captives were led into a large hall." emphasizes the entering into the hall phase of the movement. "The captives were led to a large hall." emphasizes the movement to the hall.

2. Only into and to are possible here. "We were sent into the laboratory two days ago." implies that the people were sent into the lab
