To or for

Hello everyone,

Is either "to" or "for" correct in the following sentence?

- Fruits are useful to/for health.

Top answer

- Fruits are useful to/for health. Yes, but 'for' seems more reasonable. 'useful to health' could suggest that health finds fruits useful, which is a strange thing to say.
