'To marry' or 'to get married'?

Should I say 'to marry' or 'to get married'?

Drew advises his friends (to marry, to get married) only when they are almost past the best age to marry.

Both are fine. 'Marry' has a more formal ring to it; this might be appropriate in your sentence.
