To make (her) a tempting offer

The sentence is:
I will tell him to make her a tempting offer.
Is the pronoun 'her' optional?
I've found many web pages with the sentences 'make an offer' and 'make a tempting offer', but they never have an indirect object pronoun. Is this possible to put 'her' here to indicate that the offer would be made to a woman?

Top answer

Is the pronoun 'her' optional? If you want him to make a tempting offer to a female you have been talking about, then 'her' is fine, but not essential. If you don't use it, context will make your meaning clear.
