To make as in to make one happy

How do people feel about these two sentences. "Playing golf makes me happy." "To play golf makes me happy."

In my case, I would only use the first sentence. Thoughts???

  • The infinitive construction ( to ) is not as good.
  • But if you substitute "it" at the beginning, it's better to use the infinitive at the end: It makes me happy to play golf.
