Thinking Spain a) Young Americans dislike to live in big cities. b) Young Americans dislike living in big cities. The gerund "living" is the correct choice.

  • Thinking Spain a) Young Americans dislike to live in big cities.
  • b) Young Americans dislike living in big cities.
  • The gerund "living" is the correct choice.
  • For some reason which I'm hard-pressed to explain, "like" by itself works well with both the gerund and the infinitive: Do you think you'd like living/to live in a big city?
  • There is a slight difference in sense between the two.
