To limit my liberty

Hi,

I don´t have idea how to say this complicated concept, please check it below.

"I don´t permit anybody (or nobody??) to limit (to restrict?) (to cut??) my liberty"

Please suggest something.

Thanks

Pamela

I think those sound alright, but not sure about 'cut' though. Or you could say 'infringe my liberties'.

Hi,

I suggest
"I let no-one restrict my freedom."

Thank you for your replies.

To Clive: is the use of "to let" better than"to permit" ? could you please advice why?

Thank you!

Hi,

permit - focuses on giving permission or consent

let - focuses on not stopping someone

'Let' is more commonly used, more casual.

Thank you, so if I understand it well, "to permit" has the same meaning as "to allow".

Thank you for your kind help!
