To Liking

"They sell cars customized to order."
"They sell cars customized to taste."
"They sell cars customized to liking."

The first two is correct. Could the third be correct too?

Top answer

The third one is not natural, or idiomatic. "They sell cars customized to the customer's liking" would work.

Then, all of these are incorrect English?

"They sell cars customized to order."
"They sell cars customized to taste."
"They sell cars customized to liking."

The first two are fine. Sorry I neglected to make that clear.

"To order" and "to taste" are idioms, or at least "fixed expressions.".

But we need "to someone's liking."
