To hurry up somebody with giving information

Hi everyone,

I wrote an business email to the person I know asking them for information and taking some actions.
I haven't got any reply for two weeks. I'd like to write a second email to hurry up my recipient. How to do it in a polite and formal/neutral way?

Like:

Do you have any news about the issues in my previous email?
OR
Do you have any update regarding issues as below?
(here citing my previous email)

My second question - I wrote a first email to the person I don't know. As in the previous case, I haven't receive the reply.

Dear Sir, Madame
Two weeks ago I send you an email asking for information about computer parts. I haven't received any reply yet.
Could I ask you for any feedback to me regarding my questions?
Regards, ...

Do you have any better idea. Could you correct my examples, if necessary.

Thanks in advance,
Marek

Hi Marek, For the first one, what I do is forward the original e-mail to the person (which lets them see when you first made the request) and say something like: Hi John, I'm just following up to see if you've had a chance to read this request. Is there anything I can provide that could help move the process along? If not, I look forward to hearing from you soon.

  • Thanks very much, Barb For the second one, it depends on whether you are the customer or the person who needs something.
  • It sounds like you are the customer - it is their job to give you good service.
