to hear

Hi,

I am having problems with this stative verb... Could somebody please help?

This verb has several subentries in my Longman, and all of them are supplied with the warning "not in progressive".

On the other hand, I am pretty sure that the phrase "You will be hearing from me soon" is correct English... Now, to my naive question... IS THERE A TRULY :-) STATIVE VERB IN ENGLISH THAT CAN NEVER EVER BE USED IN PROGRESSIVE??

'You will be hearing from me soon', is just fine. I'll say no to your last question, but expect somebody will find one to prove me wrong. Rover
