Vocabulary

to have strong nerves

Dear teachers,

when talking about someone like this guy who jumped out of a plane without a parachute on his back the other day, is it then possible to say:
He must have
a) strong nerves
b) nerves made of steel?

In German we use these expressions quite often. Are they idiomatic in English?

Thanks in advance

Well, it has brought him a lot of fame, actually... By the way he did that on 30th July.

But you're completely right, this is something a decent person would never do.

Anyway, what about the 'nerves' sentences?

P.S. How come that this 'nuts' sentence seems to be a quotation of what I wrote?

How did he manage to survive?

The expression you're looking for is "nerves of steel."

His name is Luke Aikins...
