‘to have been’ or ‘for being’

Which is correct?

Congratulations to American Nation to have been awarded a much-needed win to bring the smile on their faces.

OR

Congratulations to American Nation for being awarded a much-needed win to bring the smile on their faces.

Scenario was:
American team won the match, and I want to congratulate the American.

P.S. Please explain me in grammatical terms. I shall be very thankful to you. Emotion: smile

Unfortunately I was expecting an answer of this query as per my expectations. Anyways, I did not ask this question just to congratulate anyone. I want to improve my English, and want to learn different sentence structures and its ingredients.
