To go down to (a number)

Hello,
Is it okay to say: "Crude oil prices are expected to go down to $50 a barrel in December"? I don''t know how much it actually costs, so I apologize. I only want to know if "to go down" works here. If not, what would you say?

I know there are other ways of expressing the same idea, but I want to keep "to $50 a barrel" in. What would you say?

Thank you, Clive.

You could say . . . fall to . . .
