Vocabulary

to get a real and objective picture

Hello!

Can you pelase tell me if it is OK to say to get a real and objective picture? Should I replace real with realistic? I found in the dictionary of collocations expression: to get clear picture. Should I use it? Thank you

How about 'honest'? Could you give more context? I can't decide whether you mean an 'unbiased picture' or simply a 'clear picture'.

Hello Nyarlathotep!

This is the context:

By considering these questions we shall get real(?) and objective picture of our own power in negotiation.

It sounds so clumsy, I know. Any suggestions are more than welcomed

Thank you

Antonia, I think you need only the word 'objective' here. It should connote 'realistic', and 'unbiased'.

Write, 'an objective picture'.

Thank you Davkett. As students, we were taught to economize whenever we can, so I guess that is what I should do.
