Vocabulary

to get a feel for something

Hello,
Does: "You might like her once you've got a feel for who she is" sound natural to you? I don't think I've encountered "to get a feel for" used in such sentences before, but it might be okay.

Thank you.

I assume the same would hold true for "If you want to get a feel for who I am check out my new song". Yes, we get a feel for a task or ability.
