Vocabulary

to get a cat

Hello,
Would the sentence containing "get" make sense:
- How's your new kitten?
- I haven't got it yet.

Can we say "I haven't picked it up/I haven't taken it yet"?
Thank you

The first two are OK; the third is not natural.

Would the sentence containing "get" make sense:
- How's your new kitten?
- I haven't got it yet. Fine, common, natural. Doesn't tell us how you will obtain it.

Can we say "I haven't picked it up Fine. Tells us that you have to go somewhere to obtain it.

/I haven't taken it yet"?

Thank you both. I assume one could also say "They haven't brought it to me yet". Does it sound OK to you?

One last sentence that I did not include in my last post. They haven't brought it over yet. I hope it is acceptable too.

Thanks for everything
