In the US, we would say, "She teaches English to sixth grade pupils."

OR "She teaches sixth grade English."

OR "She teaches English to pupils in the sixth grade."

OR "She teaches English to pupils in grade six."

(We don't use the expression "Year six pupils" in the US.)
