To exchange / change dollars

1) I would like to exchange dollars for euro.

2) I would like to change dollars to euro.

I have learned that exchange is the right word in the situation but I have seen 'change dollars to' like the #2.

Can I use the two words in the same situations for the same meaning?

What do you native English speakers think? Thank you so much as usual in advance.
