"to duck at a cliff wall"

When an adventurer was looking for an artifact "he ducked at a cliff wall". Does it mean avoiding something, or maybe jumping to the water near the cliff? I can't give you more context because after this his story was interrupted.

Anonymous When an adventurer was looking for an artifact "he ducked at a cliff wall" My best guess is that someone, perhaps his nemesis, was dropping rocks from the top of the cliff.

It could mean that he bent over to examine something at the cliff wall.

I've found a video on YouTube (3:00 - 3:11), maybe it will give a bit more context. Still, as I said, the adventurer's story is not complete...

None whatsoever. That's why I didn't bother to add anything more to the thread.
