Hello,
Would it work in these sentences: "Educational standards are deteriorating year by year." , "The quality of their furniture has deteriorated since last year." and "She was okay in January, but her depression has deteriorated."?

Thank you

The first two are okay.
For the third, say either " ...her condition has deteriorated" or "... her depression has worsened."

Thank you, Barbara. Could you tell me why it can't be used with depression? I am only following the dictionary definitions which are a little vague.

Depression doesn't "deteriorate."
It can get worse. It can get better.
If it gets worse, the person's overall condition could deteriorate.
If it gets better, the person's overall condition could improve.
