"To deal on the good way"

My teatcher said that i should use "to deal in a good way", instead of "to deal on the good way". Why the second one is wrong? Or is it just because common use?

Prepositions are sometimes very difficult to learn, because they are used in many different ways.
Here are two good examples with "deal." Deal can be a noun or a verb:

He got a good deal on his new car.
Mark is a successful businessman. He deals with his customers in a good way.
