To contact

Hello!

I want to learn English to be able to contact with other people from all over the world.

1. Does the verb "contact" go with the context here?
2. If not, do you suggest other verbs?
3. Can it be followed by "with?

"Contact" is fine, although some people would rather not see it used as a verb. ) Don't use it with "with," though. I would like to be able to communicate with people from all over the world.

"Contact" is fine, although some people would rather not see it used as a verb. (I speak as one of those people; however, I am aware that we lost the battle long ago.) Don't use it with "with," though.
