To come someone's way

Hello,

Is it okay to say: "I was having a drink at the bar when I saw a bunch of sketchy dudes coming my way" or to just ask someone to come my way? I am probably wrong but "come my way a little" sounds somewhat odd to me. Come closer to me would probably sound better but the first sentence sounds okay to me.

Thank you.

Yes, it's possible to say that but I don't think it's common. It does sound a bit informal to me and I'd probably use "coming to me". You may have heard this phrase in Santana's "Everything's coming our way" but the meaning is different here.

That's fine. coming my way ~ approaching me

Gene93just ask someone to come my way?

No, not Come my way. You need something like these: Come here. Come closer. Come on over here.
