Vocabulary

to come out

Hello,
Is it correct to say "Have the test results come out yet"? I have heard people say it (in informal speech, of course). The more formal word would probably be "released (online)/published" or if one is expecting to receive documents, he could probably say " Have the results come through yet". What do you think?

Nor does it to me. I have heard people use it though. It doesn't matter. Are you saying that "come out, publish, release" all work in this context?

Don't documents come through to people? Cambridge dictionary says "Have the test results come through yet?"

I hear it most frequently when there is no formal publication.
eg. I call the doctor's office wanting to know if my blood test came out positive for leukemia.

Yes, but "Have the grades been posted yet?" is much more common.
